As the title suggest, I need some local knowledge as I have been invited to a corporate golf day there in May. Looking at the website there seems plenty of trees and heather

Any advice gratefully received, don't worry there will be plenty of 'ammo' in the bag.

Played last November, both courses are very good, but prefer the Red.Not especially tight ,but still plenty of chances to lose a ball. Very friendly for a posh club ! Enjoy the day

Two lovely heath 'n heather courses.
Have played them both a couple of times and but for the expense would go back like a shot.
Every bit as good as St George's Hill or Woking in my opinion.
You'll love it
;)

Take a Jacket and Tie even for a drink in the bar at luchtime or you will have to wear the spare from lost property which if memory serves me right is a 40" chest tweed jacket with leather elbow patches and a garish yellow tie. You will look a *** and everyone will know you forgot to bring your own!! That happened to me 6 years ago and at 6' 2" you can only imagine what i looked like. It was very embarrasing and all i heard from the members was "rules is rules, you wont forget them in a hurry!!"  ;)

I concur. Its a pain if you're playing 36 holes to have to get changed but they is the rules. Two cracking courses and both a good challenge although I think the red shades it. Well worth a visit. I know Jezz has spoken fondly about it in the past too

Played the red course last year. Very impressive knock. Saw more green keepers the whole day than other golfers. Didn't stay for a drink as we all wanted to get back home, so not sure about the club house.

It was a nice walk on a nice course and the golf wasn't too bad either. You might need to think about a few shots around there but thats part of the fun.

I remember playing 36 round there once. Course was in beautiful condition, early September and one of those glorious sunny days with not a hint of wind.
No rain was forecast so I didn't take my waterproofs with me but what I hadn't counted on was my mate Khalid topping his drives on every single hole. And in front of every tee was loads and loads of heather still soaking wet from the morning dew. My trousers were soaked up to the knees looking for his bloody ball and didn't dry out until the afternoon...
