I have a party going to this venue for a 3 day stay in October. I would welcome any feedback from 'neutrals'. It has glowing feedback on its website, but I kind of think they must be rather bias, as they only publish the good stuff!!

Cheers :D

Hi there - never played or stayed there, but I attended a training course there last month.

The off course facilities seemed pretty good for families, large play areas and bowling etc., and it also seemed very popular with families.

At lunchtime I had a quick look at the course from the road, and what I saw I liked. Lots of trees, some gentle slopes and hills, and the small amount of the course I saw was in very nice condition.

There are quite a few reports of the course here http://www.uk-golfguide.com/england/27692_reports.html? and it seems the course is good, having improved a lot over the last few years.

Obviously it's miles away for most 'up country' folk, but once in Cornwall, it's just off the A30, dead easy to find.

Hope they have a good time.

Hi
I stayed here for 3 nights in June on our 'ladies tour'. I would say it's very decent - generous food well-cooked, and neighbouring 'play area' (!) with bar, ten pin bowling etc.
The course is attractive and interesting - not long but buggies recommended owing to long walks between holes (many up hill!)
It's easy to find and another easy drive to the coast (Tintagel & Boscastle) if you feel like it.
For ladies the accommodation and ambience lacked a certain finesse (that's girls for you!) but all in all a good value break.
Have fun!

Our golf society played there last year ( 3 days ). We are off again on thursday for the long weekend.
It's a fairly short course but that does not imply easy peasy.Fairly hilly, well it is Cornwall. Lots of trees and a fair amount of water.
Food good.
Accommodation is fine. Not 5* but so what.
Good beer selection ( well it was last time )
Good value for money imo. Well worth a try.

Clubs yes
H/C 14.1 rising slowly

Stayed and played for a county match. Off blues ( backs) it is a really course, one hole is a 210 yard par 3, 200 yard carry. Pretty damn short of yellows though. Accomadation was good, but the rooms were being done up as we were staying. So in general pretty good.

Stayed there a few years ago, found the course instresting, accomadation was ok , the food one night was what the wedding repection did not have. thought it was good value for the money
