anyone played Aylth and Strathmore?

Off on our yearly golf trip with the boys next week.

only 3 days this year and all parkland courses.

2 of which are Strathmore and Aylth, anyone played these? what sort of condition were they in?

Also playing two of the courses at Blairgowrie, of which i have already played the Rosemont.

Have played both numerous times this year and both are in really condition, the greens at Strathmore were the best id played on this year, nice mix of holes on it as well. Alyth is a great course have a few mates who are members , the food is spot on as well

Both are nice courses with good greens, in particular Strathmore has a nice bar which does great food. Mate of mine plays there regularly and his only criticism is the transition from fairway to depth of semi & rough can sometimes be quite punishing. Nothing bad to say about them otherwise.

Played Strathmore a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Some guys did comment on the rough being a bit wilder than usual but all in all a good course I thought.

yeah played Strathmore a few weeks ago and although I was poor the course was decent

love alyth - mature course, very pleasant surrounds, good challenge, excellent condition. 5th is the only weak hole. the rest provide good variety. plenty of stand out holes - nice set of par 3s and 5s. 8th is worth a dig off the tee, quite a shorty. some superb 4s too - the 9th is my particular favourite.

Played 36 holes at Strathmore last year. Enjoyed the course and the food in the bar, but thought the greens were very slow, even though it was a blistering hot day.
