been looking at the Titleist 910 and TM R11
don't like the D2 shape and dont like the white/black R11 but I think the lightest driver I can get would benefit me over the 907 D2 I currently heave around my head :D

anyone know the lightest stiff shaft and can the head be lightened ie does it have interchangeable weighting system?
thanks

No changeable weights and the mix of shafts is the same as the D2.
If I remember rightly, when it came out, the reviews said the 910 was am
ng the heavier drivers on sale.
Maybe something like the Cally RazrHawk would be better - made with this superlight forged composite stuff.

Changing from the 907 to a 910 is a big step forward. The 907 was not a very popular driver and is known to have a pretty spinny clubhead.

I think it might be better not to have any strong pre-requisites, but just go and get fitted for the most suitable driver. The 910D3 is a very good driver and you can pair it with some pretty light shafts.

There are major ultra lightweight shafts out there which weigh in the region of 40-50 grams..

check out the motore F3

Why do you want a light driver? I know it might give more club head speed, but light drivers have never worked with me, so I am interested how you know it will work for you?

I suppose I don't until I try it, but the 907 D2 with Graffaloy stiff seems to be a heavy swing weight that I'm convinced screws up my turning as I feel I have to heave into it sometimes resulting in body slide and stop, arms and hands takeover and snap hooks or blocks result, jsut feel I could control a lighter driver easier, however a fitting is def on the cards.

Thanks, Didnt know the 907 had a bad rep, what for and whats spinny?
a big step forward in technology or improvement do you mean?

The clubhead generated a lot of spin, so the ball could balloon. You see a lot of them shafted with low launch shafts such as the ProLaunch Red to combat this in part.

ahh spinny as in spinning ;)
mine has a pro launch red and yes its a low launch and low flight, unless I snap it and its a sally gunnel shot (not pretty but it runs and runs )
will get a 910 D3 fitting methinks as 1 bad drive and my handicap is gone :(

Not saying this is the case with you, but I had a 909D2 with a ProForce V2 76g stiff shaft in and I felt like I really had to go after it to get the best from it.

When I went for my 910 fitting I expected to be fitted for a lighter shaft but I ended up with a shaft that's almost as heavy, but not quite as stiff as my previous stiff one, and a slightly different kick point.

As said above, I wouldn't only try light shafts as different makes of the same weight can play very very differently.

Good point, and how are you finding the new shaft albeit same weight? I also feel I've got to go after it as opposed to swinging in control

Booked a fitting so will let the pro/launch monitor etc determine the best shaft and head for me before pull snap hooking it, lol

I love it. At the fitting I also tried a lighter shaft in stiff, but didn't look what make it was as I didn't want anything but the hits to influence me. It was maroon if that identifies it? With the lighter one I had a nice flight but it wasn't quite stiff enough when I went for one.

The PX shaft I have now is still 73g compared to 76g but it's a bit more flexible at the tip end (so I was told) which makes it feel much nicer on a smooth swing, but is still stiff enough when I've 3-putted the previous green and give one a bit more on the next tee! :D
