Been a while from i last posted anything here due me not playing any golf really from september till the weekend past, but that i did have a round again i find myself looking for a good 3 and 5 wood.

I came acoross a web site called www.golfshopping18.com and seen they have some very good prices indeed (maybe too go?)..

As we all know there is alot doggy sites about selling fakes etc so was a little bit unsure on weather to buy or not? so just wondering if anyone on here has used them before and have any feed back?

I see they have a contact number and live 24/7 support on the site.

Also they ship world wide free..

Poss to good to be true.

$300 for 3 and 5 wood G15. (£188 all in, paying via pay pal)

At this stage of the year i am going to hold off till Jan 2010 incase of any more drops after the xmas rush.

I bought my set of Cobra irons from the states, I also bought my Ping putter and a Titleist Vokey pitching wedge.

Had to pay duty on the irons, but still came in cheaper at the time over buying here. Didn't have to pay duty on the other two.

Bought from these guys, no problems,

If you look closely enough at that site you will find that it is not in the USA but in China.

www.whois.com gives the following site ownership details:

Also if you put their address details into google maps it shows as an area of woodland in the middle of nowhere in upstate New York.

Yet another to file under "if it looks to good to be true....."

Hendy: Anything with a China connection........forget it.!!!!

I was in KL recently and have seen just how good some of the fake stuff actually is !

Simon this is why i wanted to post it up before buying anything..

@Tonecapone I got a driver once looked the biz also lasted a month or two.. head fell off it LOL, thank god no one else was with me that day lol

My local golf store has the G15 fairway woods at 129.99 so might go there just. only other opt is to get a g5 3&5 wood 2nd hand from the bay. But see them selling for upwards of 70 quid

There are plenty of good retailers in the US and I have bought from a few of them.

Edwin Watts is one of the best, and they offer very fast and good value shipping. There are a few others I would recommend, including NJ Golfman. Golfsmith is OK.

3 balls is a well known ebay seller. They are suspected of some shill bidding on auctions, but the stuff is usually good value and it always arrives.

Some of the ebay sellers and others sometimes accidentally write a low value on the customs label, which means it might arrive to you with little or no charges. As a responsible citizen, I am sure you would then contact HM Customs to make up the money. Those bankers bonuses don't get paid out of fresh air, you know.

Watch out for the import duty!!
I bought a hand made TP Mills putter from the states for what i thought was a bargain until the UPS man turned up with my package and demanded another £50 for the customs duty that UPS had to pay!!! If i'd refused they were going to take the putter away!!! So factor in your import duty tax first! Some sellers will down value your item to avoid paying the duty, but the risk is if it does go missing or get broken you'll only get the value stated from any insurance!
