Any veiws on Peugeot 206s?

But the OP did come on here asking for views on them (presumably those who have had 1st hand experience, not views from websites and car magazines)..Which is what we've given him.

Euro Ncap is not just a car magazine website - it is the European Union Safety Standard that every car is measured against. Not manufacturers data it is independent and it does not just measure head on collisions - those days are long gone. Why do you think the more modern cars have things like Side Impact Protection multiple airbags etc. Due to the tests carried out by NCap and the EU safety requirements - note no more Lada's being sold for example.

The OP asked for experience and opinions I just happen to think the opinion of independent experts with regards to safety are more relevant than my mate said. Although I don't dispute what your mate said he has witnessed - or his reasons for not letting his other half have one, but if he had attended the same incidents with a Ford Fiesta would the outcome for the occupants have been any different - I doubt it. Cars that crumple more absorb the energy from a crash better that those that don't. This has been proven to provide better safety for passengers.

With 11 year old rust too....

Agreed, the newer the car, the safer it will be, as the tests get more stringent every year.

I'm not a fan of small cars anyway. To my mind, they will always come off worse in an impact with something bigger. Hit a small car with a range rover, and no guesses as to who will walk away from the accident.

Heard the mention of Seat Ibizas! Mine's been all good. Only downside is tracking knocks out easily but other than that it's a smart little Car. I'm selling mine on 12th April to my garage, 04 plate, yellow, cupra gun metal grey alloys, 60,000 on the clock, 2 litre petrol.

However, if you want to make me a better offer I'll happily talk business with ya! :)

2.0l Cupra Ibiza? Bet that goes like poop off a shovel! :D

If the Mrs. wouldn't mind having a smaller car I'd bite your hand off for it!

I love my Toledo TDI (sans oil spill :(

is this the sort of view of a 206 you were after ?

Nah only 2 litre sport with cupra alloys, not actually a cupra, they absolutely ruin my car.

I like the exeo's too!

Although i love the look of the RCZ now. mmmm sexy car

I have to say that I've had 4 Citroen C3's as Learner cars. All have done 35k+ in 18 months and been hammered by learners.
Not had an issue with any of them bar routine servicing and the odd bulb.
Probably not fashionable but, for me, great little cars.
