Hi ,

just wondering if anyone knows or has tried one of these 3-5 day golf improvement courses?

What do you think of them and do you know of any within a 75 mile radius of Hampshire.

Cheers

I had a friend at work that when on one of these "beginner" ones. Day one was all about the basics in two sessions (AM and PM with unlimited balls and went through the set up and the basic swing.

Day two was a refresher followed by a short game session and putting. PM was focused on driving. Day three was an overall refresher on the swing and a nine hole competition and a driving, chipping and putting competition. Apparently it was quite intense and pretty hard going and easy to get carried away with the unlimited balls. I'm not sure where it was (I'll check when he's back next week) and let you know. I'm not sure of the price either so I'll check that too but I seem to remember it sounding quite pricey.

Midnight, I think Seddlescome Golf Club in Bexhill, East Sussex have a training academy and I'm sure it's for all ages and abilities. Get googling mate :)

I went to a 3 day golf school at Sedlescombe as a total beginner, but they do it to suit your ability. I thought it was great, and go back every week for lessons now with the pro (one of 6 or 7 based there) who took the school.

I find the video rooms incredibly useful, and the facilities are really good. There's a nice hotel, and the food is really good too.

There's an 18 hole course and a 9 hole par 3, and if you're on half day schools, you get free run of the courses in the afternoons.

I would definitely recommend it to friends. www.golfschool.co.uk
