Evening all,
As one of my resolutions this year is to save a few bob for a change of car iv got a few in mind and was wondering does anyone have any experience with any of the following.....Currently i drive a Volvo V70 2000 plate.....
I have soft spots for all of the following but as i havent owned or dont know anyone that has owned them im at a slight disadvantage....Bare im mind also that im a Panel Beater so Im pretty familiar with any form of vehicle.....
My choices are 1. 04 plate Volvo XC70 2.4D
2. 03/04 plate Nissan Patrol GR 3.0tdi
3. 03/04 plate Land Rover Discovery TD5
4. 03/04 PLATE Land Rover defender 110

The first or last would be my favourities but im told that the defender is the closest thing to a tractor for the road as its not the most pleasant or comfortable to be in for everyday use....

Defender is really practical and utilitarian but not that comfortable or quiet, especially after a car. mate used to have a Nisan patrol but it looked like the milkman was arriving! Recently bought a Discovery to replace the Nissan terrano we had; I'm a total convert having used it for work all this week (I'm a large animal vet) - comfortable, quiet, went anywhere in the snow.

Ya mike i think the Disco is the best compromise between comfort and practicallity.....The defender turns more heads in my opinion and has a character and aura about it but its a bit basic for everyday use i think.....
Its the patrols reliability thats favouring me at the moment as im reading up plenty on each of my choices....
