after buying an ampcell fairway on ebay for peanuts < im swithering as to buy some more cobra clubs as ive instantly fallen in love with the amp cell fair way as its so easy to hit . The problem i have is im a lefty so im very limited when it comes to trying out clubs.
I was wondering if there are many cobra users out there and if they share the love like i do
cheersG

I'm a self confessed Cobra fanboy. Got the Amp Cell Pro irons, the Amp forged irons, the Bio Cell driver and the Bio cell fairway wood and love them all. Great clubs.

I'll be honest , I never owned any Cobra gear until June this year when I was fortunate to be fitted for a Cobra BioCell driver. Its what I use now and I am very happy with it.

I love my bio cell + irons. Not the prettiest clubs in the world but they look great over the ball and go like doo doo off a shovel.

I have Cobra S2 woods which I enjoy playing with, and up until very recently (next Wednesday!) have been playing with S3 irons. Very nice they are too, I just "fancy a change". But nothing wrong with Cobra gear.

I'm a lefty. And use Cobra irons. Double bubble! Unfortunately mine are also S3s which are a bit out of date now. But if/when I change I will definitely consider getting more Cobras.

Really like Cobra clubs, very underrated IMO.

Had a few sets of irons that I always seem to do well with.

Going to get the Tour Trusty wedges to replaced battered collection over the winter.

Have come close to buying the Bio Cell + driver on a couple of occasions this year aswell.

Sounds like a good plan. Big fan of trying before buying rather than getting a set of e-bay or online. Hope it works out for you

tried the fitting route with americangolf at Clydebank and was anything but impressed , fitter guy tried to tell me that he could judge how a club was for me just by using his eye as the trackman was broken and because he thought I had one of the best drivers out there (nike vrs covert) I didn't need to change it . after a bit of a stand off he eventually gave me an xhot 2 to try and I felt much better hitting it and got better results. needless to say I wont be going back there for anymore fitting

How did you get on with it?

A few of us tried the bio cell + but we didnt like it very much and weirdly Cobra wasnt pushing it very much on our test day either. It looks superb but test it a lot before you make a decision.

Even Ricky Fowler uses the standard bio cell and that tells you something too.

Love it. Hit it about 4 different times against the Nike Covert 2.0 Tour this summer and found it difficult to split them which is why I've ended up with neither!!

Think Fowler might use the Pro version? Could be wrong right enough.

Tbh one of the things I found weird was how it looked, never really got used to it whereas the red of the Nike you pretty much forget about. Maybe its "eye catching" in a bad way that you notice it by the ball rather than just looking at the ball!?

cheers guys , ive just won an amp cell 7 iron so im going to give it a whirl before i commit to a full set. the joys of being a lefty. wish i lived close to www.lefthandedgolf.co.uk

Me too sir, me too. I got fitted at The Belfrey (which I know is still miles away from you) and they had a very good selection of left handed clubs to chose from. But I know what you are saying, you have to check first how many options they have if you are not set on one particular manufacturer.

I was also fitted for a Bio Cell driver earlier on this year, thanks GM, and I'm still feeling the love.
I'm also thinking about getting the fairway wood too!

Slime.

My S3 3 wood which I picked up on the cheap is pretty good.

Couldn't hit their new drivers though, when middled they spun like crazy, bad shots even worse. I hit better shots out the heel with my current driver.

Not tried the other clubs though
