Played in my school Old Boys Golf Day yesterday in everything from sunshine to thundery showers and squalls.

Managed to score 36 points for the first time and was the 'leader in the clubhouse' when I left at 7.15pm after a 5 hour plus round meaning I was in trouble with HID as we were booked for another social at 7.00pm!

Now I need to register that yesterday was nothing special but just the game I always play i.e. not to regard it as a special or one-off.

Medal next week so hoping to get my handicap off 28 - at last, after a year of lessons and practice.

nice one Stub, steady golf is the way to go. Good luck with the medal. Always a tester especially for us high cappers with our customary blow up holes :)

Medal golf is all about not compounding errors and playing the percentages. Note to self a triple and quadruple IS compounding the problem. You know you can do it so relax, forget the word medal and just play as you would do normally
