Android Rooting

After having a "basic" Nokia for years, albeit it took a few photos, i got a HTC wildfire on Android in Spring.

I lasted 1 months with it, and eventually switche dth SIm back into teh Nokia. I got totally fed up with having to charge the bloomin thing EVERY DAY whether it was switched on or not, and it was bloomin slow on teh Internet, and the screen is too slow anyway. If i actually kept it switched on and usedthe internet once or twice a day the battery runs out after 4 hours ???? How on earth is that practical - or what am i missing ?

I have NO IDEA why everyone thinks these phones are any good based on my own experience.

Depends on the model.

HID has just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S2 which is "the" phone of the moment. She's not a massively heavy user, but gets 2 days out of a charge, easily.

The Wildfire is at the bottom end of the spectrum when it comes to android phones really. If you used a higher spec'd model, you'd probably see what all the fuss is about, quick and powerful with loads of features. Yes, you'll probably have to charge it every day, but you'll easily get a full day's use (at least) out of one. 4 hours suggests to me that the wildfire has a dodgy battery.

I pay less than £30 a month for my HTC Sensation (free phone) which is on par with the Galaxy S 2, just have to shop around.

With regards to mobile internet, it can be pretty poor, but I've found mine speed up no end in the last week since getting my new phone. All depends on the 3/4G coverage though.
