Cant understand why the likes of Inter's old boss Roberto Mancini was not in running.

Hes got a better record and hes being linked with sunderland job there for a time.

I'm not sure about this He'll get my backing as he's now our new boss but the feelings we had for Guus may well cloud Fan's views of Carlo's appointment....a bit like when Avram Grant took over after The Speial One left .

Personally , i would have preferred Rijkaard , with Hiddink kept on in an advisory role....saying that , i believe Guus is now 'Technical Advisor' to the club so he'll still have some contact with the heirachy
