An Introduction

Hi Folks,

New to the forum, so thought I would come and say hi and introduce myself. I'm Chris, 28 and live in Manchester.

Fairly new to the game, but I'm already hooked and looking to find a club soon in the very near future. Don't have a handicap yet, so I can't share that with you all, but will update as and when I get it!

And please, excuse any bad typos.... My iPad seems to think it knows better than I do sometimes...

Welcome Martin? (just a guess based on the Chuzzlewit ID) I am from Salford, some decent courses around here.

Lol, nope,it's Chris, but have a guess what the first book I saw was, when I was scratching my head looking for a name ?M

Ive played at Worsley, nice course. I'm in Bolton, so I know a few of the courses round that end

Any other recommendations?

Ha, I should have read your first post properly.

I play at Ellesmere, its at the junction of the East Lancs Road and the M60, not too far from you, a decent course with some interesting holes on it. and no par 3s over 200 yds!

There is a guy on here who plays at Bolton Old Links too.

I know of Ellesmere.... Off Old Clough Lane? I've heard that Old Links is rather hilly?

Just been reading some of the stuff about long par 3's..... A source of much debate!

yeah thats the one. memberships ae available I believe, with not much hassle and no joining fee. I could probably arrange a game for you if you havent played it.

Only an honorary Manc I'm afraid... Midlander by birth... (not a Brummie)! I do support a manchester football team, though, but I am neither a blue or a red and no longer in the premiership!
