As some of you may know.....I started playing golf 6 months ago and things are just starting to come together now that I understand what I need to be doing.
Over the past week I've been using trying to make sure that I release my hips on the down-swing.
Today on the range it finally came together and I was able to hit my 7 iron 170 yards, whereas before I could hit it 150 yards.
I had read that using your hips generates more power but I wasn't aware of just how much!
I'm more than happy with that kind of distance as long as I can keep it straight. But as time goes on and as I get better at releasing my hips, I might be able to squeeze out a bit more yardage.
