At 27 its such a sad waste of life, however if you play with fire you get burnt. Just hope some good comes of this in the way of a lesson learnt to her young fans. Granted drugs have not been officially blamed for her death but it seems highly likely.

Am I just being cynical but why the fuss. She lost any talent she had years ago and has been unable to perform or record properly as shes always drunk or high. No real sympathy apart for her parents and loved ones left behind. Another muso that didn't know when to stop.

have to agree with Homer, she was on a mission to self destruction already so in reality this doesnt come as any surprise, even after her last rehab she recently couldnt perform due to being bladdered!!!

A sad loss all the same to her family and many fans

Homer i agree with you ,who gives a feck ,total waste of space who's had numerous chances, when will this country ever stop seeing these people as hero's ,the real hero's are the people trying to save junkies like her's lives.

No one ever said she was a hero, just that it is sad that it has turned out that way. It doesnt matter that any of us can say "we told you so", it is just sad.

Totally agree, more responses to this thread where a women was on a self destruction than 90 0dd innocent people

I'm on the fence on this one.

What makes me sad though is that all the attention on someone (who to my mind had only a little to offer) probably actually made her problems worse. We put people on pedestals and then come over all concerned about them when they self-destruct.

Such a sad lack of humanity.

She had a truly beautiful voice. We should pity those like her, who never seem to grasp how to be happy, and be thankful if we are lucky enough not to share their doom.

I would love to have 1% of the talent she had and don't disagree that when she burst onto the scene she had an captivating voice. However I can't conjour up any sympathy for someone that knew she was killing herself and continued to do so despite professional help. We are all responsible for our own actions at the end of the day and so if you play with drink and drugs accept the consequences. It's those in Africa and Norway that have no say about dying needlessly or without warning who get my sympathy

So?

Between her and that other scum bag Doherty they were never out the papers, great role models for young uns.

Didn't like her music, nor her singing, can't endorse her lifestyle, but any one who dies that young is sad. Especially when they are in the public eye, and kids could see her as a role model.
