Am I the only one?

wahey..........

i did it for the 1st time on friday night, after work.
I changed the ball on the 2nd tee because i'd had a mare on the 1st hole, but i didn't lose one all the way round.
i hit it into the water once, but luckily it was the brook that crosses the course and not the pond, found a Titleist prov1x and a Nike Black while i was fishing about too.

got away with a couple of big slices off the tee on 2 holes, flew into the woody stuff loud crack and bobbled back out.

apart from the odd abberation though, this was probably my best and most consistant round to date.

it was matchplay between 4 of us and i didn't tally my own score but it was definitely well under 100.

was a very happy chap when i got home on Friday, not the usual sulky g1t.

Great thing about match play is, no matter how bad one or two holes turn out to be, you can forget em and still have a great round!

BTW is it illegal to spray your ball (altering it's appearance) with some gaudy colour that stands out?

I don't think the rules actually specify how a ball is marked or how much of it should or should not be marked; it definitely isn't a requirement that it should be.
