I've just got a new set of waterproofs (Nike StormFit) and the jacket fits perfectly but the trouser are about 1 1/2 inches too long (I have quite short legs). Does anybody know if they can be shortened, and if so can it be done by any competent tailor or seamstress, is is it something specialised?

If the latter, can anybody recommend a place to send them? I usually take all my trousers to the Zip Yard in Leeds for shortening.

TIA,

Michael

Ive just used a seamstress in the past and she did a great job. Sunderland years ago used to offer an alteration service but don't think any manufacturer offers this now.

A great place in Leeds is on the headrow next to crash records. They do all the the work for all the high end shops in Leeds.
Took my Hugo boss suit their and they did a fantistic job.
