Parts of Medway are an absolute toilet, it is just unbelievable how bad some of it can be and some of the stuff that goes on in broad daylight.
I socialise with a few coppers down here and know one of the civilian guys who works in the custody suite and they all despair at what they see. I recorded this on Sky+ as I couldnt watch it last night.
As a side here, what amazes me about medway is the short-sightedness of some people.
Basically there are public loos in the main shopping centre in chatham, for years they were trashed and abused by drug dealers, scagheads injecting, prostitutes entertaining punters and gays cottaging in there. They were disgusting, needles and used johnnys on the floor, blood & semen everywhere and Im not exaggerating.
Anyhow, the shopping centre took control of the loos from the council, completely renovated them and have put a permanent cleaner and security guard on them.
To cover this there is a 20p charge for use of the loos. However the public have gone ballistic about this launching protests, campaigns and the like. The local rags have been full of it.
Since the 20p charge the loos are excellent but these morons wont accept the charge as they feel they should get these 1st class facilities for free.
These are the same people who used to write to the paper to complain about the state of the facilities!
