Aimpoint

I saw a recent class which costs £87.50 each for 4 hours with 10 people in the class which is almost £220 an hour.

How much improvement was there or should we stick with what you have! I do have one of yours actually

There is a local guy here has some aimpoint coaches over and as bob says, it ain't cheap. it's all about learning to read greens 'properly'.

There is a chap on a rival forum that swears by this method. It's not cheap, although the cost equates to roughly 4 1hour putting lessons. It's all to do with angles, when I played with this chap he three putted the first, it had just been watered, and then never made more then two puts for the rest of the round.

That's not exactly a great advert for it though is it? Unless he was 3 putting loads before hand but if he was there are cheaper ways to improve - such as practicing

Besides, reading the line isn't the best way to reduce the number of putts you take, getting the pace right is.

Couldn't agree with this more. Unless you are playing on championship courses with more breaks than Ronnie O'Sullivan (bad analogy I know) if you get the pace bang on you will very rarely leave yourself anything longer than a couple of foot for your second putt. When I am putting well my pace is right on the money and when I'm not I'm leaving them long and short and causing myself problems that way.

Now, if only someone could invent a fantastic new putting aid that helped you do that    :p
its called practice

Its all bout practicing the RIGHT way tho isnt it .. if you practice with a faulty swing or technique surely all you do is become acustomed & ingrained to doing the wrong thing ??surely you need to practice the right way to improve ..mayb im wrong

Absolutely right.
Stand there all day practicing the wrong thing and you're bound to get better

oh dear, your techniques are different to many others and theres a zillion different aids and methods out there so who's to say whats right and wrong, lets just assume practice is a good thing ;)

Bob wasnt referring to the v easy in this bit, he was referring to proper practice (apologies if im speaking out of place Bob) what you are saying is totaly right, practice is a good thing, BUT it has to be the right kind tho .. anyone that practices will get a bit better , people who practice properly get alot better ,

You know what they say about assuming...

The problem is, that whilst there is no definitive 'right way', there are plenty of definitely wrong ways. Practice the wrong way, and at best you will just be wasting time.
