the girlies are on tour! Strathmore on Monday, Blairgowrie ladies open on Tuesday - but ??? for Wednesday!

Where should we play? Could be anywhere from Angus back to Edinburgh

many thanks for any suggestions ;)

Arbroath is good value and a nice links too,Monifieth is a bit more price wise but a really good track, and Montrose is a tad pricey but great course indeed. If you don't fancy links my club Alyth is worth a visit as it is very near Strathmore.King James in Perth is unique(on an island) and Murrayshall in Scone is good too.

hi deke - done arbroath - wonderful course, but bit of a detour
montrose - not keen. too much gorse for some of the old ladies ;)
king james - does it not get soggy? i like the idea of it tho
alyth - everyone loves that course - ur a lucky boy!
murrayshall - too long and soggy!

ok - from that little lot - its between king james and alyth? which one would win in a fight? ;)

Alyth knocks out King James in the first round! Less soggy too, with great greens! I am playing tomorrow,I will report back on the course condition if you want? It is usually pretty good after rain.Monifieth is also a magic course,I came very near to joining this year!

Montrose is lovely - but again out the way. please report back - i believe its due to chuck it down again on Wed, so we'll need something that is standing up to the mental weather ;) many thanks!

No worries,I will send you a PM tomorrow,;-)

As you are playing Rosemount on Tuesday, I would have suggested Lansdowne for Wednesday, but there are very few tee times as there is a Gent's medal on. What about Kinross or Muckhart?

I here Scotscraig is in good condition these days, lol.

Seriously there's Alyth, GlenIsla both right across from one another,as Clive said Muckhart is a great course,i'd pass on King James as its a bit boggy just now, there's also Kirriemuir are really easy going course and Forfar all nic etracks and not overly long and decent price.

never thought about auchterarder - great name! am away to have a look at their website
played Muckart - nice course
now - Scotscraig...when i was staying in st andrews last week, two other residents got as far as the 4th and the course shut - think it might still be a bit boggy?!

Bit further north but Edzell is a cracking course. Crieff is nice, Auchterarder is always busy from my experience.

edzell i adore! but its going the wrong way from Blairgowrie to Edinburgh! loads of ideas tho guys - am sure we will play one of them - in the rain...;)

Heidi Hi,

How did you get on at Blairgowrie today hope you had a good game. It was a perfect day for golf, glorious sunshine and a light breeze to keep you cool so you have no excuses.

Smange and I were out at 10:15 on Lansdowne and had a great game, I even let him win as he was my guest. ;)

Where have you ended up tomorrow?
