Sorry Imurg but I would send it to Ping or take it yourself as your not that far from Gainsborough.

The clubs that are cast are much more brittle than forged clubs. After I saw my old head pro crack an Ping 8 iron I vowed I wouldn't risk it.
If you do get the pro to do it, make sure he will replace the club FOC if he damages it.
