I decided to get a 5 wood to complement my other clubs, I couldn't the excact model I wanted but was offered last years model plus a rescue for the same price as the 2012 model, it seems a bargain, the only difference is the shaft, so I bought them, I had a go with them this afternoon, they seem ok, I need another practice though before trying them in a competitve round.
While in the shop I was chatting tthe pro about my lack of distance off the tee, my driver has a 14 degree face, he suggested I try the men's model, it has a 10.5 face. He had one taped up so I took it out, what a difference! I hit with both mine and the men's model on our 3rd hole, hit them ball wel land straight, the men's went 40-50 yds further, ,even when I hit it high it still went further. i am tempted to get one but need to save up a bit first.
