I thought it an appropriate time to post this in the light of the recent thread about clubs losing their professional.
This weekend our longstanding (28 years) is retiring and today his farewell competition has been arranged.
4 ball am-am, shotgun start aty 8.00 am, 32 teams with staggered start on 13 holes.
That's 124 players and there is a second start at 1.00 pm with another 124.
So nearly 250 members all wanting to give a very popular guy a good send off. He has been great for the Club and its members with advice and goods all dispensed in a positive and cheerful manner.
After this it is clear that my Club benefits from having a pro' and wouldn't want to be without one
