So played Sunday at Stevenage Golf Course. Havent played there before. The day didnt start well as went out for a run (Marathon training) and my recurring knee injury came back so had to hobble home. Got to the course and as it was a complementary round we paid out and went for buggy's as there is no way I would have made it round walking with my knee.

Anyway I had an absolute cracking front 9 of 42 (5 Par's and 1 Birdie)
Back 9 wasn't as good hit a 49 (2 Par's) Had to drop on 2 holes. Plus on the last hole hit a cracking drive straight and long only for it to hit the overhead power cables, took another and hooked in into the tree so was not happy.

So overall a I am very happy as my previous best was a 97. And you may have seen from my older post that I went to the range twice last week and was shocking kept shanking everything, felt really low on confidence and felt I was going backwards. Not any more!!

Nicely done chap, perhaps your low expectations helped you on this occasion? No expectation - better play, it's often the way, I know it full well and still can't switch it off, what's important is that you scored really well and showed yourself you have the ability to go lower, from 97 to 91 is a big jump, no reason you can't continue to shed numbers off that PB. Nice one.

I got my PB of 91 a couple of weeks ago but have struggled to keep under 100 since. But now I know I can do it I just need to work on the consistency. Good work, keep going.

Well done matey. I played despite my bad back. Wish I hadn't. Felt ok while the pain killers were kicking in but stiffened up last night and this morning. I should have listened to the wise old heads on here but you know what its like when its dry and warm and you've got cabin fever. Played crap anyway
