We lucked out on the weather today compared to expectations (and the course was in amazing condition) as we got hammered at home by The Wisley! Hopefully tomorrow will be as much of a pleasant surprise with regards the weather and my golfing ability!! My lost ball count was another 7 today - all I can say Mr Richart is you need some wide shoulders and a strong game tomorrow!!

[h=1]Men’s Invitation Day 2013[/h]We are pleased to announce that we are now taking entries for the Bearwood Lakes Men’s Invitation Day 2013 due to take place on Saturday 7[SUP]th[/SUP] September.
This year’s event promises to be the best Invitation Day yet thanks to our new partnership with H.R. Owen and Bentley Berkshire. It will be themed around the fantastic range of Bentley cars including the new GT Speed, the fastest production Bentley ever made.
There will be Bentley give-aways for competitors, all of whom will be playing for the main prize of an all-expense paid trip to Archerfield Links Golf Club in Scotland for the Bentley finals. This wonderful trip will include chauffeur driven Bentley transfers from Bearwood Lakes to Heathrow airport where both the winning Member, their guest plus partners will be flown to Scotland, chauffeur driven from the airport once again to the fabulous Archerfield Links. The group will stay for 3 nights. Including golf, spa access, dining, prizes and lavish Bentley gifts.
This is a money can’t buy trip and we are very proud to be offering it as the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] prize for our Men’s Invitation Day 2013. There are also a great selection of Bentley products and luggage for those in 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] and 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] places.
The itinerary for the Invitation Day itself on 7[SUP]th[/SUP] September will be;
Breakfast and registration from 08:00
Shotgun Start 09:30 in a pairs better ball format
A 3 course late lunch will be served after the game at which the dress code will be “Jacket and Tie

Paul, you know I said I would get some practice in. Well I lied.:o I will have to rely on natural talent, oh and you go around in about five over.;)

Alarm clock set for 6.30, now just need to find the Sat Nav.:whistle:

Really looking forward to the day, and winning that trip to Scotland.:thup:

Another day that that we escaped potential bad weather. Great day. Golf was poor - we wasted a fair few chances and ended up with 36 points - fourth and fifth place were 40 - third 41, second 42 - and winners 45!! A great score. Course was stunning and the greens were pretty darn quick, food was great, as was the company. Despite hitting the ball rubbish, I scored 7 pars and we jelled pretty well - that goes to show the poor golf! I need a lesson as I have no confidence and the swing is pants! Anyway, back to work on Monday so time to forget about bad ball striking. Happy golfing - next outing Help for Heroes :)
