They are given again. If I got a shot on the 1st then when playing it again as 19th I get it again.

The shots 'gained' are relevant to the 18 holes being played. It is logical to apply them to the holes if they are being played again.
If the play off holes are not played in the same sequence (eg 1, 2, 17, 18 and repeat until there is a winner) then the committee should specify the procedure in the terms of the competition.
