This weekend, in anticipation of a slow round (fairweather hackers!) I took my flip ultra hd along with me to record my swing as I played.
I mounted it on my clicgear2 using a gorillapod and the standard clicgear umbrella holder. It was perfect for positioning and recording without any messing about.
I discovered on the second hole that I was significantly under rotating on my swing. Even the small screen on the camera showed it as clear as the day.
A quick adjustment on the 4th tee...and my god what a difference. I already was a big hitter off the tee (240+ average according to SG5), but this change saw me very comfortably knocking 270-280 average and a couple significantly beyond. All (well nearly all) were as straight as you like.
Anyway...result was a 76 (par 70). My previous best was 80 and more than a few times this year I've been up in the 90's. I'm really hoping this is a long term change rather than a "new technique of the day", but time will tell.
Not too much point to the post other than to say if anybody has (or has access to) a combo similar to above, and doesn't mind looking like a bit of a tit...I recommend you give it a go.
Of course...you could just fork out for a few lessons, but where's the fun in that?
