Because more shots are played on the green than anywhere else, I'd play my best club for putting. IE a putter.
All you need for most holes is a club that will get you 150/160 yards down the middle. A 5I or even a 6I will suit most people. Only go for a longer club if you can hit it as consistantly as a mid iron.
Then the longest club you can get out of your greenside bunkers with - a PW should suffice,tbh.
I don't see the point in taking a hybrid or a wood - On a 350 yard par 4, say. You could go Hybrid, 7I maybe, but how often will you hit the green ? In which case you'll be chipping on for 3. Or 2x 5Is will get you within easy pitching range anyway.
