2nd Comp First win

Hi all.....
Just thought id let people know that i won my first comp on sunday last with 38 points playing off 21.....
Its a great feeling.....
I played really more clever than anything special..
Just confused a little maybe someone can help...

Could someone please explain the above to me im a little unclear on parts of it and is this a good score...?
Also how do they determine how many shots are taken off you?

The css was 73 so the course was playing a bit harder that usual u had 38 points where 35 would have been par on the day so u were 3 under your handicap u were over 20 so you got cut 2 .4's and then droped below 20 so u got cut 1 .3 so 2*.4 plus 1*.3 = 1.1 clear as mud

SSS is how difficult the course plays. Your course is a par 72 and SSS 72 so it plays to par (my course is par 70 SSS 71 so it plays 1 shot harder than par)

Competition Scratch Score 73
CSS is how difficult the course played in the competition. On this day it played 1 shot harder than par.

points accumulated over 18 holes ( 1 point for bogie, 2 for par, 3 for birdie)

Your start handicap was 21 when playing the comp, but you played to a 18 handicap

This is your 21 handicap minus the handicap you played to... 21 minus 18 equals 3

Handi Cap Adjustment -1.1
you played 3 under handicap. you had 2 x 0.4 and 1 x 0.3 = 1.1 which is 2 shot adjustment under cat 4 and 1 shot adjustment under cat 3

Revised Handicap Adjustment 19.9
handicap 21 minus 1.1.....new handicap 19.9
