2010 - a vintage year or more like vinegar?

I wouldn't say it's been vintage but it's been a bit of a breakthrough year for me.

I've spent since 2006 slowly going from 9 to 12.6 without a single cut. This year I've had 3 cuts, a win in a medal and a divisional win in a s'ford. I'm still aiming for single figures and a 'lowest gross' and there's plenty of comps left for me to do that.

If I get one of those 2 I guess I'll start saying it's been a vintage year, if I don't, I'm convinced next year will be one

Even if that means learning a new course first ;)

I've made it!! My primary aim for the year of reaching single figures has been achieved, as I have just been cut to 9.0 after a couple of really good knocks last week. I can't begin to tell you how chuffed I am.

2011 aim has already been set - stay there!

Well played Sir!

My aim was single figures.........there's always next year!

I set myself a target of getting from 28.0 to 25.0, which I achieved pretty early on and am now at 23.2. I'm going lower than handicap on probably 3 out of 5 rounds at the moment, so I should come down more by the end of the year, it's just doing it in competition with a card in hand that is occasionally the issue.

All in all 2010 has been a great first full year in golf and I am pretty chuffed with how I have done.

Definately. Let me know when you fancy a round and I'd be well up for playing.

It's a lovely course. Fairways are a tad ropey at the moment, recovering after the uber-dry spell in the summer but we have preferred lies to make up for it. Greens are phenomenomenomenal though.
