200 Self isolating Brits flee ski resort

Why not, restaurants and cafes can be fined for allowing inappropriate mixing.
They havent accepted membership from u , i do understand people shouldnt travel and i agree with it . Just wondering how clubs can disciplin someone like that .. im sure constitution of club has an equality section in it

They could suspend membership or even withdraw it completely
And report them.
If people break the travel rules and the club is aware and does nothing then the club could be in trouble, could be fined or even shut down.
Its happened to pubs..people have travelled outside their tier, the pub knows this and hasn't thrown them out - pub gets a fine or closure notice.
The lackadaisical attitude so many of the Great British Public have to this thing is why we're in the mess we're in...quite frankly it's scary.
All I can see is total lockdown by mid January if everybody starts taking it seriously.
I get where ur coming from Ian . I understand club might report it to authorities but to me that is only action the club have. As a paid up member u have same rights in club as others , club cant discriminate against you because of where u are from . Golf clubs cannot apply the law to any one only report it to the law..

Again i dont think members should travel or put club in that position . But at end of day its just a golf club

Discussing policy and the world situation is one thing, but you've just pointed out a specific person that could be very easily identified in an innocent google search at any time over the next few years.

You should either delete it or retract your statement. They are doing nothing wrong, and someone travelling that far each way to work for the obviously low money they're on doesn't deserve any misguided hassle they might get.

Would agree with the above, I know exactly who you are talking about. It's not fair they, haven't done anything wrong.

Our club, Thorpeness, has someone working in golf reception who travels all the way from Northamptonshire, currntly Tier 3, 1.5 plus hours, to work in our golf shop, Tier 4. Shouldn’t really be happening.

Our club? That's not the club in your signature; "clerical oversight" or a less than subtle attempt to drop another club in it?

Whilst I agree that the rules and restrictions must be followed I think it's wrong to say people are irresponsible to travel abroad. If the two governments allow it and you stick to the rules then fill your boots. I for one intend to be ripping up the alps in March if its an option

My apologies
I was trying to point out one of the anomolies of the tier system, not drop someone in it.
I expressed it badly.

I am assuming the shop is click and collect only, as in tier 4, it should be shut, except for click and collect.
I assume this means all green fees need to be paid in advance when booking.
