Fast progress!

A mate of mine played his first nine ever last in the Summer of 2009, he was 67 for nine holes, Its easy to forget how tough this game is for rank beginners.

First time I broke 100 I was around 10 years old, my mum did not believe me.

Played today in near impossible conditions. A dusting of snow and rock hard ground made for some fun!

Chipped onto the 1st green par 5 with third shot and it hit the green and bounced 20 feet into the air. Chipped back and ran off the green the other way.

I didn't break 90 but I broke my 8 iron clean in two trying to be clever next to a tree! (40 quid reshaft!!!)

Walked in after 12 holes as my mates hands were dropping off with the cold. I played the last two holes and missed birdie chances on both for easy pars!

What a strange game golf is.
