After a couple of visit to a soggy 9 hole course, I came across a public course nearby and went along for 18 holes.
The course was Boysnope Park near Eccles, I think it is a privately built course but not a members onlu type.
The fairways are nice and wide and I was happy to find the course quite dry and trolleys were allowed and the proper greens were in use, although they were heavily sanded.
52 on the front nine, not heped by 3 putting 4 greens. Back nine was I managed 3 pars but also 3 sevens, 3 putted 3 greens but holed 4 decent putts too. So went round in 49.
So 101 which I was quite pleased with as it must be 10 years since the last time I did 18 holes and I was quite tired towards the end, also didn't help that I caught a 4 ball up towards the end so ended up waiting on every shot, my finish which was 7,7,7,6.

A good afternoon though, and I might go again before my membership to Ellesmere come through.

Well done Louise, that's pretty good for not having played beyond a front 9 for that long. I think it's easy to underestimate how tiring it can be on the home stretch if you do it week in week out.
I'm fairly young at 33 (I reckon that's fairly young anyway lol) but on hilly courses can struggle due to some legacy knee problems from years ago.
So well done

Nice round. Shame about the 3 puts. Just blame it on the greens. Us oldens can still show the youngsters a thing or too. Don't forget the Radox bath tonight though lol.

used to have an office 5 mins away and had my lunch there a couple of times a week has a little range as well never played but a friendly enough club, nice knock.
