Money List Winner
I see that Atthaya Thitikul has just won the latest LET event, I have seen some very good junior girls at Lancashire events but that is something else. As well as playing so well to have the mental strength is amazing.
I think kids that age probably play without fear, especially the ones that have played since they could walk.
One of my county teammates just won the Scottish girls championship - youngest ever winner at 13. But to win a pro event at 14 is truly remarkable!
Fantastic achievement but as a caveat, how strong is the LET these days and in this field. I totally accept that you can only beat what is in front of you and to do so at such a young age is great, but just putting it out there as a discussion point

Lol, how do you think you'd get on?
I'll throw a slight spanner in the works. Not sure how healthy it is for a 14yr old to be playing in pro events. I wouldn't let them play until 18.
No question about ability but there is a bigger picture than that.

What's the bigger picture though ?
As long as she is good enough age shouldn't matter , as long as she is carrying herself off in a mature manner then it shouldn't matter.
The bigger picture is how it affects her over the course of her whole life, not just the immediate days, weeks, months. Prodigies rarely come out as rounded human beings in the long term. She needs to be protected, be a kid. Play golf at junior level around the world, go to school, play with your mates. Plenty of time for her to be a golf star when she is old enough to cope with it. 14 is not old enough.
Go on the tour with adults, away from home, chaperoned wherever she goes, cameras in her face. No, have a life with people your own age and then go on the tour. She is a child still. A child that plays golf exceptionally well but still a child. She needs to be protected.
