Morning All,
I have to say this is the second order I have placed with them that has been wrong. The first I ordered x4 Exoflex gloves and they sent Retroflex gloves and then took 4 weeks for the correct ones to arrive as they offer them for sale online yet they where out of stock. Now I ordered a dozen ladies Srixon balls for HID, a Footjoy glove with yellow trim, some fast twist pro stinger spikes and a tub of Yes! club cleaners... They sent a red glove which turned out the one I ordered is out of stock and they sent a packet of 10 wipes for the club cleaners worth about £2.50!!!

This is not the only few times, at Xmas I ordered a Ogio Edge bag on the last day for online shopping in the morning and got a call at 1415 to inform me that also was OOS leaving me hours to get a bag in for Xmas!!!

It might seem that I am just moaning about it, but tbh I expect things advertised on websites to be available and in stock, yes at times its just bad luck but a company selling stock they don't have time and time again is just wrong. They are sending the correct club cleaners out "tomorrow", that said the last time they did this it was also "tomorrow" which turned into 4 weeks later.

From now on I will not be spending a single penny at 118Golf, there are a lot better companies out there and ones that don't sell stock they don't have and try and fob their customers off.

rant over :p

Have to say I do find them a hit and miss outfit myself at times. Ordered clubs from them before that have arrived the next day when they've quoted 3-4 days.

However on the other hand ordered a new bag that was supposed to be in stock but took around a week to arrive. When it did the box still had the labels from it being shipped from the manufacturer in Holland a few days previous.

Would only buy from them now if it was a cracking deal and it was confirmed the item was in stock.

I bought my Sun Mountain trolley bag from 118 and it came within 3 days, can't complain and would use them again. Seems as though they have singled you out Parmo :D.

Thanks for the heads up Parmo, I will consider them next time I am shopping online. I use onlinegolf, had no problems as of yet.

best online retailer i've come across is discountgolfstore.co.uk

nothing but good friendly service and anything i've ordered from them has come next day on standard delivery. They've only been out of stock on something once, but phoned straight away to tell me and offer an alternative.

I like Onlinegolf and the one time I had a bad experience they refunded the price of the items in loyalty points after the orginal products arrived.

Golfbuyitonline are very good, I bough HID a footjoy gilet on Tuesday night and came this morning, in fact everything I have bought from them as been decent and arrive within the times stated.

AG online are good and even better with free del over £10, everything ordered from them comes within days.

Direct golf are good for bargins but don't accept Visa electron.

Snainton golf, great for the custom fitting service online and deffo the best in this field as you can get dif shafts, grips and the full fitting (if you know what you need) online on the new Vokeys.

GolfSupport where good when I needed a replacement Grom, the first guy advised what would needed to be done then I got a call contridicting what the first call said, ended up going directly to Ogio UK instead, but did offer a good service that saved me at Xmas.

Yeah maybe!! It just seems if they don't have it in stock they send you anything and it also seems the warehouse pickers don't really concentrate on what they are doing. I would have though a stock level tied in with the webservice was the norm and not inexpensive to have, yet they still have the same issues about stock levels.

Must say though the Footjoy Sciflex feel great and look forward to Sunday and trying it out.

The best golf shop IMO is golfbuyitonline.co.uk

I have an advantage using them as I live about 5 mins from the store, it';s great being able to view anything I fancy, and still get online prices, and have a discount card !!!!

Give them a try.

I have to say I've ordered a fair bit of stuff through them and its all benn on time and the right stuff. It may be a bit hit or miss judging by other experiences. Where possible I try and buy via my pro but its only really clothing and one golf bag I've got from them.

"I don't believe it".

In my years as a consumer I have never come across such simpletons, they have sent the 10 pack again!!!! I really give up on these people and would advise anyone buying from them to check they have it in stock and they have their brains switched on.

Once again 118Golf screw up the most simple of orders...

I ordered a pair of SYNR-G's for my holiday in Spain on Saturday and paid for next day delivery, so pretty urgent I need them and ordered Tuesday night expecting them today. I checked the website and it said on my order "processing" so I guess I best check with them and you got it, they are out of stock and even though I paid and extra £10 for next day service it didn’t cross their minds to call and advise me and I would have been waiting all day today if I hadn’t called.

Avoid these Muppets imho and its now 4 or 5 orders I have placed with them and each one has been cocked up in some way.

I have now cancelled the order with them and placed with a good supplier for an extra £4 with del before 12pm tomorrow with golfbuyitonline.co.uk.

I have to ask why if you're going on holiday do you a) want a new pair of shoes to wear and b) order them so late...

If you'd had gone to see your local pro you could have tried on a pair and walked out the door with the very ones you wanted there and then....I think you have really just experienced one of the negatives of buying things on line....

TBH Parmo, if they'd ballsed up the previous 3 or 4 orders don't you think it would have been wiser to not use them? In my world, they'd get two chances. Anything can go wrong so the first one you can accept, but 2, 3 or even 4 cock-ups later and you're still using them? :D

I've never had any problems with them but thats probably because they are very local and I can easily get to them should the need arise. I do agree though that its surprising given the number of decent online retailers that you went back again after previous problems and at the 11th hour.

The buying of shoes is one area a pro come into his own as you can get them on and see exactly how they feel and where potential "pinch points" might be.
