10 Golf Myths

Dead weight putter … means he has exceptional distance control or predictive abilities?
He would be up the proverbial creek with out a boat let alone a paddle at my course .. the pace is all over the place unless you make a note of the quick or slow ones. Also all the pins were less than 5ft from the edge, and the holes have varied levels of crowning and due to the weather some foot prints.. ( I have some good excuses for missing putts - yesterday a dead straight putt jumped off line then jumped back .. so an airborne putt is the solution)

Isn’t it a fairly simple (lol) case…

If you want to have a chance at making the fewest possible putts (1) on any given hole, you need to abide by the “never up, never in” approach.

But if you want to reduce the number of putts over a given round, leaving a few short is likely to help that.

If you’re trying to 1 putt every hole you’re kinda stupid!

Just taking this approach with putts is stupid. I try and hole every tee shot.

Most amateurs do tend to underclub. Take your ego out of the equation, pick the right club and I’m sure you’ll hole more of them
Cheers mate.
I’m just worried on the par 5s of leaving myself a tricky one back.
I’m keeping my eye open on the for sale section for a rocket launcher, sure Lucifer or Phil can pick me one up cheap.

Don’t start this again we’ve only just got over the last lot that couldn’t understand being a dead weight putter doesn’t mean you’re trying not to hole a putt but are in fact trying to hole it with dead weight and that 3 putt avoidance gives better scores than never up never in 😘🤣

Left or right handed, do you prefer a hot launch or stealth missile. Do you mind a bit of recoil or do you prefer a muted sound with a stiffer shaft.

I’ve probably got a few spares in the garage but if it doesn’t match your specs I can easily nick one from work 🤣

Didn’t know there was so many options.
Do you do fitting? 🤣

As a an early practitioner of the Lee Enfield .303 do you think I may need a stiff shaft?
What weapon. Had the joy of firing one a few times as recently as last summer at Bisley. They already are fun to stiff in the shaft, with a smooth recoil. Though they offer no forgives on off centre hits when the position and hold isn’t firm enough to support the strike 😉

Blow up a massive crater in the green to increase the hole size? Smart idea. But even then is it possible to leave it short 😂
