Z-Star all the way, far better than the Pro-V1 in my opinion. And despite what a couple of people say I don't think they cut up that quick either. And weirdly if you use the Z-Star yellow, it cuts up even less (I've started to see a lot of these being played even through the summer)

Garmin G1 watch. Can't recommend it enough, admittedly all it does is provide the front/middle/back, but it's ridiculously quick to use..just stare at your wrist, comes loaded with 5000 courses with no subscriptions and quarterly updates for free.
