I currently use R9's but thinking of changing to burner 2.0, has anybody got any feedback on these I am a 12/13 handicapper but struggle to get distance, thanks in advance. Ps I'm new too the forum just trying to work it out not very good on computers. Happy Golfing

The R11 is the "direct" upgrade to the R9. The Burner 2.0 has a longer shaft and is much, much lighter.

I have an R11 and it's the best driver I've ever owned.

Don't discount other brands though. There's good offerings from Titliest (910), Mizuno (JPX/MP), Callaway (Razr) and Nike (VR Series).

Best to try as many as you can and see which works best.

Burner 2.0 irons are slightly longer than the standard iron to give you the opportunity to generate a bit more clubhead speed. Put that with the incredibly light shafts and the thin face it's all about distance.

A every cavity has a different depth to give you the optimum launch angle for each indiviual club...

I could be here all day raving about these irons. Get them!

hardly any difference to the burner 09 irons except the colour, oh and about £200.

The r9's you have are aimed more at a players club, the burners are more forgiving aimed more closely towards you hc if tm's selling specs are anything to go by

Got a mate who got a set of these in February. When he got them the smoke finish looked the dogs nuts. Now he's not too happy with them, the dark/smoke finish is already wearing off. When he told me I thought he meant maybe the sole but no its around the cavity and even up to the hosel.

On the plus side if your not fussed about the smoke finish wearing off he reckons there super long.

I've got my set of burner 09s I'm about to sell, or should I say trade in. They guy who I play with has just bought a set of 2.0s and I can't notice any difference between them and mine. I'm going to get fitted for a set of Mizunos so you could always buy mine, they do have stiff shafts though ;)

I've tried them and they have strong lofts and light shafts and so they do what they intend to do and get it out there

They do have a lovely feeling off the face and are forgiving and I think you would enjoy them. However the R9 are more of a player type club and although I didn't get on with mine they are a good performer especially with the KBS shaft as standard.

However I'd also recommend looking at the new TM's in either the muscle back (MB - smaller cavity) or the conventional CB (normal Burner like cavity) with their forged faces.

I've got the burner 09's. I tried the 2.0 multiple times, just couldn't notice any difference whatsoever (Except the smoke finish is a little darker on the 2.0's)
Save cash, get the 09's they are v. easy to hit and long as well.
Watch out for the huge gap between the pitching and sandwedge though (45/55 degree).
I want the gap wedge for the set, but it always goes for silly money on ebay when they do come up.

I got fitted and purchased my 2.0's at Christmas and I'm very happy with them. They have improved my iron play as they have a good feel for GI club and they are long long long. I have gone up 2 clubs since changing over, although I would say my old clubs were pretty old and way out in regards my new fitted spec.

The dark finish has started to show signs of fading, but to be hounest I only notice when cleaning the clubs and to look at in the bag or on the course they still look v.good.

I would not discourage anyone from buying them and I did that with a friend at my club and he has just invested and does not stop raving about how good they are.
