Thanks for that.
Can I ask, why not just keep it as qualifying competitions as it is has been?
I mean I know you could still declare a card before you went out, but it seemed a rare occurrence
I imagine this has already been asked....but roll ups with your mates can count towards handicap now can’t they?
What’s stopping people putting 10 quick less than honest poor or good scores in to move handicap?
You can definitely hit draws from the inside with a steep shaft as I was in my lesson. Your hands get behind you on downswing, to make the inside angle of attack but my shaft is steeper than on the backswing.
If your face is open to your path the ball will curve left to right, where your face is pointing at impact determines the start line.
You can have an out to in path and hit straight pulls, pull hooks and you can swing in to out and still hit push fades/slices if your face is open to path, it...
Bloody hell yes where the face is aiming at impact controls the starting line but if the ball is slicing right it is open to the path.
Nothing @Three said was wrong or confusing.
I'm asking the question as drive4show shaft change moved his spin from 5000 to 3000 into headwind.
It seems a lot I'd imagine the bulk was strike dependant.
A shaft can change spin by 2000 rpm? Are they shafts at two opposite ends of the spectrum?
I must be a decent chopper like I say I can't really feel any difference I'd have no issues taking my dad's regular driver out if I needed too. .
I wouldn't mind trying some top end shafts to see the...
Titleist DT trusoft, Mark Crossfield had some good reviews on it.
I had a mess about with three and they were decent, but sceptical of the control around the green though. Definitely I good cheap ball.
I know, but what I do has to be the biggest factor how I deliver the club to the ball at impact?
Maybe I haven't been playing long enough but I I tried plenty shafts in both driver and iron fittings and only real difference for me was feel as in weight. I honestly had no clue how they felt like...
Honestly does the shaft make that much of a difference?
When I got my irons tried plenty of shafts and it just came down to what felt best really. I can't say that any stood out from the others dispersion wise.
@upsidedown no I don't go expecting to shoot lights out, I'll work on things to know how they'll hold up under comp conditions. Appreciate you have played under it, I'd imagine I wouldn't be handing every card in. What happens if you just play 9?
When I tee it up I'm not aiming to play my best score every time? When do you get the chance to practice things in friendly rounds then?
If people can't play with a card in their hand, surely they need to work on the mental side of their game?
I got a fitting today as well, came down to the JPX 900 forged and the Apex's.
Nothinv between the two but couldn't believe how hot the Apex's came off the face, that said I went for JPX's as they felt more consistent. I felt like I'd get the odd shot that went miles with the Apex.
