Yes, along the 9th hole. There is talk of it being extended, but nothing has materialised yet. Kings Hill would be a good club to join with a proper range and it's always the driest around in winter.
I personally wouldn't say it's getting that bad really. As I said before, Bearsted is...
It doesn't get that wet anymore as the drainage has massively improved due to work that's been carried out in recent years. I really enjoy playing the course with the varied layout and how good the condition can be in the summer. If the fees increased to over £2,000 in the next couple of years...
To be fair, East Sussex National is only £2,000 a year for similar facilities to Close House, I just live too far away and would be concerned about too many hotel residents on the course. I'm tempted now to research membership fees for the whole of Kent and compare them based on quality of...
I would compare the potential membership fees to other courses. If your membership fees go up to £2,500, where else could you join for similar? Is it better than where you are? The group I play with would mostly leave together in these circumstances, so it wouldn't be a choice of leaving people...
I normally find mine from what I won the week before. It all sits in the cup holder in my car. At one stage last year, I didn't have to top it up for nearly 3 months! :ROFLMAO:
Membership costs have increased way above salaries and inflation since Covid. Our has gone from £1,450 to £1,750 in the last 2 years. This year's fees haven't been announced yet, but many I know are bracing themselves, while others have left already. Their argument being that if membership costs...
I only really go into Bromley up the A20 and then left from Sidcup. Thankfully there aren't any 20 zones there. I did go to Hackney a few months ago for a party and drove. Leaving at 2am, every road seemed to be 20, and with all the traffic lights, it was painful.
20mph speed limits are a complete joke. The local council consulted on the streets where I live changing to 20 from 30. The majority were against it, but they implemented it anyway.
Just watched Raise The Flags on Prime, a documentary showing the 50 year history of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One of the best documentaries of this type I have ever watched.
It seems Brook got hit by a bouncer and not during a cricket match. How can he possibly still be captain of the one day side after this? Where is the discipline?
