Yes it's a full shot but not swinging out of my shoes so as you say a 90% swing. I just find that a 3/4 shot leads to me taking too much off and either my hands take over or I end up hitting it shorter than I would if I'd taken less club, I guess you just have to find out what patterns you have...

I always tell my dad to hit one extra club but that's because he very rarely goes long of the flag. I remember seeing a video not too long ago (not sure who did the video though) where they discussed what the pros do & they would rather hit the full shot than a 3/4 shot with their irons.

Shot a 67 tonight, I missed 4 birdie putts inside 9 feet and 3 putted the 9th. I had an eagle putt on our only par 5 stop on the edge of the hole but I did chip in on 17. This score will knock a 71 off so I should get a nice little cut and be into the + figures for the first time ever.

It can go either way, if the mid handicapper has a good day or they are likely to win but the scratch player is much more consistent. I play more aggressively in match play as I know one bad hole doesn't really matter & it frees me up, generally I play better in match play because of this.

It's your performance average, it removes any outliers so any really bad and good drives to give a true reflection of how far you hit each club.

I find it all quite amusing. I was just curious to see if I'd found the correct scorecard or not with my post. It does look like an easy course though :whistle:
