Sorry to bump this mine did exactly the same at the weekend on the 7th hole as well would you believe it. I contacted clicgear and they're sending me the metal tube FOC but I have to fit it myself. Should be interesting wondering if its worth the effort as I kind of want an electric trolley now...
Kind of the problem with fitting itself. You can never really blame the fitter or the new clubs if you were swinging good in a fitting. I feel its all bs to make money. Ive never performed any better with fitted clubs vs buying of the shelf.
I agree. Unless you've got a really consistent swing and hitting well I feel like fitting is pointless for people fatting and thinning it and sometimes shanking it like me. Each time I play its different patterns of ball flight!
I often have the same problem thinking the faster I go the further im going to hit it. Problem is it becomes rushed and messy and effects my strike massively. I find it very difficult to gain more distance for this very problem.
Any method that works is fine to use. Aimpoint doesnt have to be slow. He just fannys about getting caddie to double check everything and lining up the ball. Then he steps away and does it over and over.
So book into the slot with them and go play golf with them. You might find some are absolute melts and pull out at the sight of another human being wanting to play the same sport as you though.
