Hi,
Just wanted to clarify some etiquette here, I'm still new to the game and I try and play by the rules. Now I've always heard that a 4 ball is the maximum. Me and my Dad were stuck behind a 4 ball for the front 9, but in the back 9 another player joined them and they went round as a 5...
What a ridiculous comment. The green staff deemed the course fit for play, not me. Check out my earlier posts last summer, and tell me if I was moaning about the state of the greens? Dear me.
yeah maybe I shouldn't have used it, mind you I did hit the ball further last weekend when it wasn't frozen. There is no way to delete a round once you've signed it is there?
I know what you mean it really wasn't good. But what also allowed me to do was control my pitching off the green. I was more mindful than I usually am. I know I should be anyway, but still learning, and knowing that if I over play it, chances are it's going past the green into a bunker or...
who's crying? I lived in Canada for 4 months in sub-zero temps, I know about treacherous conditions and can deal with them, I was just surprised it was open, especially with this culture of personal injury claims all over.
Well that's true and I make notes to the fact. Strangely last year I...
Our course is only open for 9 holes at the moment due to the weather. So played yesterday, and it was cold, but felt it wasn't enough, so decided to play again this morning. Testing out my new trolley too. Well I should have heed the warning as I went A over T on my way to the first tee...
Tell you what though, I am hitting 9/10 putts on this practice green from 6ft on the money every time. Miles away from where I was a year ago when my hand was shaky as anything. All I need to do is read breaks and speed of greens more and I'm golden. :)
Very true, it is a bit Mackenzie.
Well I work from home, and I look outside at the trees thrashing about, then I look down at my golf balls on my mini green and I think "I can't afford to lose you at the moment". Sunday is looking better though.
Yeah we have 2 holes out due to the rains.
ha ha, it's not possible really. The green is too thin. It was just a thought. I'm just sulking because the weather is rubbish and I can't get out there.
What do people think of this?

I have a standard putting mat that I paid about a fiver for on eBay. But it's straight, and although it goes up a gradient before the cup, I drop 90% of them in the hole.
I'd like to perhaps have one that has a break on it.
