What do people think of this?

http://www.birdieball.com/

I have a standard putting mat that I paid about a fiver for on eBay. But it's straight, and although it goes up a gradient before the cup, I drop 90% of them in the hole.

I'd like to perhaps have one that has a break on it.

ha ha, it's not possible really. The green is too thin. It was just a thought. I'm just sulking because the weather is rubbish and I can't get out there.

join the club. Go to work in the dark and rain. Come home in the dark and rain. Wake up Saturday to grey skies, wind, rain and 2 degrees, Sunday similar. Start Monday and repeat:(

Yes after benign weather up to and through Xmas this last couple of weeks of wind and rain is getting irksome. Not much point in having nice links turf available if you can hardly stand up or need a snorkel !

Different parts of my house break differently. Surely your house can't be perfectly level.

Very true, it is a bit Mackenzie.

Well I work from home, and I look outside at the trees thrashing about, then I look down at my golf balls on my mini green and I think "I can't afford to lose you at the moment". Sunday is looking better though.

Yeah we have 2 holes out due to the rains.

I have a three tier living room. Runs at 13 on the stimp. The putt towards the fireplace past the lamp is a nightmare. ;)

Right, I have had an idea of a ball the acts like a ball rolling on grass, but you can use on wooden floors. Any clever people out there know if this is possible? What material would it need to be made of? is it even possible?

Happy to go 50/50 on dragons den if someone can make one, i will sell them!

What do peeps make of this? a golf ball with a friction flat section that slides rather than rolls!

Tell you what though, I am hitting 9/10 putts on this practice green from 6ft on the money every time. Miles away from where I was a year ago when my hand was shaky as anything. All I need to do is read breaks and speed of greens more and I'm golden. :)
