Thanks Patrick
I plan on doing a simple restore at home (work has started as you can see), plan is to gun blue the head and repaint (probably to the original colour scheme) and a new grip.
I shall update with progress!
So an update and question...
I have managed to remove all the paint (acetone and toothpicks) and the head is now looking nice and clean.
As you can see I have some pitting on the top towards the rear of the head, I was thinking sanding starting at around 400grit working up until smooth? Is this...
I shall steal some of the wifes nail varnish remover then!
Haha drive4show - someone must have loved it to buy it brand new... I'm not sure on it looks wise, I like that its different - ultimately I shall restore it and use it (at £45 what have I to loose), if it helps me hole putts who cares...
OK so I am confident that the putter is not plated - I just gave it a quick degrease and very very fast scrub with wire wool and Metal Prep (POR15 rust remover/metal preparation liquid for automotive)
It appears that the putter has Bluing (or at least did) - see below pics:

After...
Well, I ended up buying it - £45 which I don't think is too bad at all. I plan to have a go at restoring it myself - any tips RustyTom?

grip has been replaced and needs replacing again
headcover present and in good condition (but dirty)
it's a very attractive putter and is up for £59
thoughts? Can't seem to find any info on value...

ultimately the lesson with my pro will help, but it's good to go in forearmed :)

So what I need to do is reduce my out to in path which will reduce the amount of side spin generated therefore making the flight straighter!
i shall try...
Thanks Fox/Matty
Yes the ball tends to start straight then fade - the longer the club the more extreme (more speed and distance enhances the issue which isn't a surprise)
The reason I have the video is to show my pro at my lesson so hoping that will help, be nice to have a few things to try...
Hey, thanks for your reply!
I don't currently have a handicap, only started playing early September with some hand me down clubs (recently got fitted for some irons which made my strike far more consistent)
I appreciate your comment on my swing - has come along way over the last 6months and...
Hello, I'm new to golf, been playing for about 6 months, had 7 lessons with a local pro and due to start another 6 end of the week.
I've been lurking for the past few months but just registered so hoping for some insight.
I am hitting the ball right, consistently! I got a friend to record a...
