Literally just signed up for a PMG membership last night! Trying to get back into things after a few years away. Dont have the time to play enough to justify "proper" membership but hoping to get back to some sort of regular playing.

Just had a call to say my irons were delivered yesterday. A week ahead of the quoted time. Hoping to sneak away from wife and kids this afternoon to go pick them up!

White FJ Cabretta for me due to force of habit. Always seem to wear the same one for too long until there are, at least, 2 or 3 holes in it. Bought a new Under Armour glove about 3 weeks ago and it must have fallen out my bag as cant find it... Back to the FJ!

Mizuno ST 200 Driver. Always liked the look of it and not had a driver since moving on my old Callaway a couple of months ago. £224 at Snainton golf using the 10% voucher code. Bit of a punt but, judging by second hand prices, shouldn't be a huge risk.

Im also in the market for a new driver and can get the G400 Max for about £230. Not sure the G425 will give me the gains that warrant the additional outlay.

Just had a call confirming my order of the G425s and was told 18th June for delivery.

Set of 5-W G425s. Quoted 21 working days for delivery though. Fingers crossed they come sooner!

Just back from my first ever custom fitting session. Really enjoyable experience with a good pro who wasn't, in any way, overtly "Salesy". My aim had been to go in to pick up a set of irons that wouldn't be as punishing as my current set on the bad shots. Whilst I hit loads of balls (more...

Anyone using them? Going for a fitting in a couple of weeks and know it is far more about how I hit them etc but just wondered if anyone is using them and has any thoughts on them - good or bad!

G425s are one of the sets I was thinking about. Also like the look of the Mavrik pros (but, again, would they be as forgiving...?)

I've currently got the CG7 Tour irons. I still really like them but feel like punishment / forgiveness is a bit too harsh for anything that isn't hit out the middle. My 20 handicap maybe needs something a bit more friendly...

I've got a fitting for new irons a week on Monday. As you say, love the look of Srixon but not sure I can justify nearly a grand for a set :(

Are Srixon significantly cheaper? Prices seem to have crept up quite a bit in last few years.
