There are 3 holes where the fairway is severely sloped from left to right.
Very tough and a great example of how Donald Steel utilised the natural lay of the land to produce fantastic holes.
Recently played this course for the first time since I took up golf as an adult, the last time I played it was as a kid.
Left the course feeling very sad. The greens are truly dreadful. The course is clearly suffering from chronic underinvestment.
Such a shame as it’s a Donald Steel...
I have seen some of the above available for £140. Considerably cheaper than Galvin Green.
Does anyone on here have any? If so, would you recommend?
Thanks.
I am thinking of applying for membership on one of these clubs. Is anyone on here a member of either? Does anyone know what the yearly subs are for both?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone ever tried this with any success? I’ve just been reading Butch Harmon saying it’s by far the most effective way to make a swing change and Tiger Woods used to do it all the time.
I have to say, my slow motion swing makes me look like Ernie Els. My full swing not so much!
You're not wrong there!
I was 3 under on the 14th tee and i think the nerves got the better of me, i missed the 18th green, chipped on and had about 10 foot left with a foot of break. I was so nervous i could barely take the putter back. When the ball dropped, like you said, what a feeling!
I can't quite believe it, I've just shot a round of 69. 1 under gross. This was at Gathurst golf club in Wigan. My best ever round previous to this was 4 over.
I literally can't believe it, a round under par! 🤗
