    Graphite vs Steel

Going a little further than Ethan. With Graphite technology being what it is today the shaft makers are able to more finely tune the shaft characteristics than is possible with steel. These days flex is something spoken about only at the level of the marginally trained club fitter. What you are...

    How much to re-shaft irons?

I just had my irons reshafted with rifle 6.5 from 2 through PW. It was 30 quid a club including the grip and labour. It was worth it to me as I love me iron heads and have no intention of changing them. I've had them since new, they are in excellent condition and are probably the nicest looking...

    Help with my swing pls

See a pro. But also look at your left knee. It moves forwards a lot which will impact the swingplane and make it difficult to clear the ball. That's the first place I would look. A solid base makes a solid swing.

    Sat at work

If it helps I'm in Paris at work... although I do have to go out for a very long lunch now.

    Big amateur competitions

I tend to play the 36 hole scratch (two years and counting now) with a friend who lives down there. Good courses I think even if they are public... Meyrick park being my preferred course. I also would like to mention they have a dedicated coffin dodger event each year as well.

    Big amateur competitions

Handicap limits apply not only to top level and regional but also club level events. The Romford Scratch for example is Cat 1 only... and they ballot out the 5 handicappers at times due to over subscription. Essex Am is now a 2 handicap limit I believe. If you want to play a big four day event...

The cost of joining a club

680 quid all in, no joining fee, and 8 minutes drive from my front door. And just outside London as well.

    Putters that actually sit SQUARE!

There's no such stipulation under the rules of golf - Appendix II - Design of Clubs.

picking a sub £300 electric trolley

Powerbug Sport Digital with a 36 hole battery 200+VAT (240) including a 36 hole battery in Costco. Great value if you can get the VAT back.

K15, too good to be true ??

I reckon it's more likely that it was more a case of: "Package broken when received" if you had been out on the beer before the alledged denial.

K15, too good to be true ??

Several things jump out at me. The language they are using... capitalisation after a comma, the 'precious order' mentioned above, having any question rather than questions... It all sounds like a very poorly written site and whilst there might be one or two items like that on a legitimate site...

    Putters that actually sit SQUARE!

Just a note but lots of people toe their putter up which can make the thing look closed... but also you can see others having the face very open just to see the loft on the thing. Maybe that has something to do with it. Stick something in the cavity square to the face to check the actual...

    Putters that actually sit SQUARE!

Strange that your cameron sits closed... are you sure that you're just not resting it on the heel and that it's rolling over to a closed position? I have a newport beach which I cut down to 33.5 inches as it was overly long making it seem closed at address.

    Name dropping time

Only as there are no 'famous' people at my club these days. Well... expect me... but a brief appearance on crimewatch probably doesn't count.

    Name dropping time

My course not so much... But I've played a lot of golf with John Moncur (his brother is one of our pros), have played a fair bit with Poulter in his younger days, Ollie Fisher, Simon Khan and a couple of other Challenge tour level guys as well. I know a raft of the europro guys as well. But...
