Just standing up for all tradesman. when someone asks us for a quote, we are free to quote a figure we want to do that job. All that is needed in reply is a ‘yes I would like to go ahead’ or a ‘no, that’s more that I’d like to pay’.

I’m a bathroom fitter and pretty much everything i use has gone up between 5-20% in the last year. You may think the quotes are high but if they are all about the same then that is the going rate. If it’s not something you can do yourself, you have to pay the price or don’t have it done.
