The ability to have muliple PCCs is generally for the situaion where a specific competition is played on a day (e.g. a County competition) and they require a PCC for their scores separate from Club/GP scores.
It was a first hand description by the other player in the match, so is accurate. She was fairly sure that it was wrong, but did not have the confidence to assert it. Got me thinking about the correct outcome.
An interesting situation arose in a recent matchplay round (it was inter-club, but that's not really relevant). One player insisted on teeing off second on every hole regardless of whether she had won the previous hole - i.e. after winning a hole, she insisted on teeing off second on the next...
In the CONGU days Bogey was scored differently (hence table in the chart above) to Stableford/Medal in that you were only credited with a 'win' on a hole regardless of whether it was a net birdie or eagle. This was always an issue for low handicappers who felt badly treated as their Nett Diff...
The reason 9 hole hcps included CR-Par was due to the approach for scaling up - i.e. Net Par + 1 (or 17 points). That would only be valid if the play-to-handicap score on the 9 holes played was 18 points. If it wasn't 18 points, the scale-up score would be variable, hence CR-Par is used to...
This local rule is often used on links courses where the ground is predominantly sand. Relief is not allowed from embedded balls in sand in grass not cur to fairway height, and so the local rule is implemented to ensure players do not fall foul of taking improper relief.

Assuming you've entered scores from 2018 onwards, the Low Handicap Index will be identified and the Soft and Hard Caps applied when coming up to a Transition Handicap Index. I understand there will not be a cap of 5 shots above your CONGU handicap outside of the scores entered and the...
Access to the platforn for clubs is intended to be made available this week. As far as I can tell, scores have been migrated up to a couple of weeks ago and there will be a final transfer just before 2nd November. Individual members should be able to get access sometime next week. There will...
A couple of things. If you have a multiple tee competition, you have a single CSS calculated adjustment, and that is applied to the SSS of each tee. Thus each CSS would be different, but the adjustment factor (-1, 0,+1,+2 etc) would be the same for all.
For a mixed tee scratch event, the...
@jim8flog - just to advise that the 4 BBB Matchplay is 90% not 95%. That changed after the EG presentations earlier in the year - the Rules of Handicapping manual has the correct one (it's the only change).
